Vitamin D ? How Is Much Is Too Much ? H1n1 Related !!?

So, I recently came across an article on the H1N1 virus and said that vaccination is actually making people more vulnerable to catching the flu and that adequate levels of vitamin D is actually better and more preventive vaccine that it itself.

So, after reading it, I looked at many different sites to learn what is considered "adequate levels of vitamin D and many of them say that 200 IU 's are recommended for women in my bracket age.
But I started taking this multi-day women vitamin last week and I look at the supplement facts and it says 1 tablet contains 1,000 IU of vitamin D (and various other vitamins).
Is it too much or too dangerous for me to take?
I naturally want to keep healthy so I can lower my risk of getting sick but I know there's no such thing as too much of a good thing.
